Activities for new PG students – 21/22

To help you get to know your fellow students and to help prepare you for your studies we have created a series of activities that you are invited to participate in. These activities provide an opportunity for you to get to know students on your course and students from other LCC MA courses. Your tutors will also use these activities to start getting to know more about you.
These activities have been created by the course teams – some are aimed at all new students while others are created for students on specific MA courses. We have also included some information on study skills from Academic Support Online.
Activities for all students
Self portrait
This activity has been set by the MA Animation team and is open to all new students.
Create a short 3/4 frame animation loop using basic animation or upload a still image. Follow the guidance in the pdf and then upload your self portrait to the padlet.

Drawing Club
Drawing club is a space to explore , experiment and have fun with drawing.
Drawing can be used to communicate or interpret an idea and as a means to help
solve your creative problems. Drawing can be expressive, functional, playful, conceptual; it can be representational or abstract.

MA Advertising
We’re going to be a global group – which is great because we’re a global industry. We would love to get a sense of that before we all meet in London. Visit the padlet below and drop a pin on your home and add a picture and your name.
We’re going to spend a lot of time looking at the global industry so why not add a local advertisement (and probably a translation!) with a six word commentary.
