“Becoming Lost and Found in Translation”

“Becoming Lost and Found in Translation”

Where were you born? How do you say “I come from here” , how do you say “I belong here” in your language?

It is year 3 of an interactive, participatory co-designed research project, “Becoming Lost and Found in Translation”, involving LCC/UAL students and staff investigating how acts of translation can enhance learning and critical thinking. It uses our collaboratively constructed Design School Manifesto as a starting point and has now been translated into over 45 languages. This project has started to put the use of translation at the forefront of learning and as a way of creating a better sense of belonging and to help the way we learn.

This is a place for you to correspond with each other in multiple languages, to share your heritage and to learn about many different cultures.

Add your pin to the map and join up with others from the UAL PG Community. It is on a platform called Padlet that you may already know and we use at UAL as a collaborative digital community thought space.
